Move-D

A lightweight, drug-free mechanical elbow brace that calms upper-extremity tremor to improve daily living for pediatric and adult patients with movement disorders.

Steady the Tremor. Reclaim the Day.

Steady Hands for Everyday Life

Move-D is a simple, elegant mechanical elbow brace that stabilizes tremor in the dominant upper extremity, helping patients perform the everyday tasks that tremor makes difficult. It is lightweight, easy to wear, portable and comfortable, and it improves the performance of Activities of Daily Living without limiting range of motion. Move-D is made by OrthoPediatrics.

~3%

of people worldwide live with essential tremor — one of the most common movement disorders Move-D is designed to support.

Mechanical, Drug-Free Tremor Control

Move-D stabilizes tremor in the dominant upper extremity using gentle, localized pressure over the ulnar nerve and an adjustable dampening knob at the elbow. It improves the performance of Activities of Daily Living without limiting range of motion, and its telescopic design grows with the patient.

Backed by Clinical Research

Move-D was evaluated at Children's Health of Orange County in an unblinded experimental study of pediatric patients with upper-extremity tremor, published in Inventions in 2023.

Participants
10 participants aged 14–19 with tremor in the dominant upper extremity, including essential, dystonic, postural and coarse tremor. All completed the study without adverse effects.
15.1
months improvement in upper limb coordination, age-equivalent score
7 of 10
Reported reduced tremors
7 of 10
Could move arm freely
7 of 10
Felt comfortable at home

Patients also reported greater confidence completing everyday tasks.

Study limitation: small sample size. Further research in larger pediatric and adult populations is ongoing.

A Brace Born from a Patient Named Dylan

Move-D began with a young patient living with cerebral palsy and severe tremor. His feedback shaped the brace from the very first prototype, and his initial inspired the name.

That patient-first origin still defines Move-D today. Every iteration, every feature, every decision comes back to one principle: Does this actually help patients live better?

Who Benefits from Move-D

Move-D supports pediatric and adult patients with movement disorders across a range of conditions.

Tremor Disorder

Essential Tremor

A common movement disorder affecting fine motor control. Move-D provides the stabilization needed for daily tasks.

Pediatric

Ataxic Cerebral Palsy

Affects balance, coordination, and fine motor skills. The brace helps improve proprioceptive input and motor control.

Movement Disorder

Parkinson's Disease

Causes tremor that affects daily functioning. Move-D offers drug-free tremor reduction without limiting range of motion.

Pediatric

Pediatric Movement Disorders

The telescopic design grows with pediatric patients, providing long-term support through development and growth.

Recovery
